This page will be used to share a little bit about the man behind the blog. My name is John Korassa and I am a fifth grade and junior high CTS teacher. I pride myself on being a teacher who seeks to include technology, web 2.0, and other modern strategies in my classroom. I have seen the spark of excitement in a student who realizes that their project can be created in a digital medium and the creativity that they can share. Those are the priceless moments - where you discover that your students are learning and having a great time doing so!
At the moment, I have taken on the additional challenge of completing my Masters in Education part time while I continue to work full time. This experience has been a whirlwind as I have learned so many new and inspiring things.
I have been married to my beautiful wife for 5 years. Right now we can share in our "School Miseries" together as she completed her MBA last spring and is currently finishing up her Law Degree at the UofA. To be honest, I think she is crazy committing herself to that much school but she loves it.
One of the first assignments for my current masters class (the one that has "encouraged" me to start this blog) was to create an "Autobiography of a tech User". I have included mine here for your viewing pleasure.
